When i grow up, i want boobies and big butts.

Hello GUYS!
HAPPY 2012! I'm sorry i'm late again. I keep thinking that L hasn't posted. Next time when we all meet up, i'll treat you all something. Promise.

Anyway, 'what i want to be when i grow up' , this question has evolved with me as i grow up. Being the typical little girl and with Britney Spears as my childhood idol., i wanted to be a popstar. Now let the laughter ensue. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I soon realise it was impossible when my mom pointed out that Brit has beautiful large round eyes while i have the 'true blue Asian eyes'. Damn right i was heart broken!

Then again, there was a period of time when i wanted to be a "professional pool player" seeing how easily the people shoot balls and win the prize money. Not the type where pools hire me to enhance their pool complex's ambience by playing in their kiddy pools. I know I look like a kid, but hey...I'm not THAT retarded. But obviously as i got older, the ideas changed as i realised how ridiculous it really sounds.
Then again, the reason for my next ambition isn't all that reasonable either. I considered being a prosecutor because of a Korean drama i watched when i was in my primary years. The reason being the guy was very good-looking (his name is lee dong gun <: ) and he seemed really cool with all his detective work and stuff. Another reason, that's more personal was that; when i was young, i was always getting scolded and whacked for answering back my elders. I mean, im sure every one of us went through it right? When you're not in the wrong but the adults keep rubbing it in your face that you have 'sinned so greatly' that you deserve a tight slap in the face.
But right now, i just want to be lawyer and work for the 'Legal Aid Bureau' ensures equal legal service is given to all even the least fortunate ones. Especially the least fortunates. The naive reason of the freedom of talking back still exists but now it's further fuelled with the excitement of how to manipulate the law and see justice served. I maybe no Captain America but i will do my best to be my own Captain T. (due to the "secrecy" of our blog, let's maintain the nameless-ness ey?) HAHAHAHA

So in future, if i do succeed in my law studies and not back into management stream, do not hesitate to look for me for legal advice aye? haha

once again, HAPPY 2012!

xoxo,
T

Super 8

I think everyone here knows what I want to be when I grow up. Film-making. I've talked about it so many times on blogs and other stuff, I don't really have anything else to say. Well, I guess they type of films I want to make are like short films or music videos like how Wong Fu Productions or Strawburry17. If you guys don't know who they are, I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED. GO LOOK THEM UP ON YOUTUBE. Anyway, all the Singaporeans I  personally know are pursuing wedding videography and I will never understand the appeal of that. It's just not something that I'd want to do.

To work on this whole film-making thing, I'm planning to save up and build up my gear before I move to Los Angeles in a couple of years.

THINGS (I THINK I) NEED:

  1. Pocketpod or The Folding Tripod
  2. Fisheye Lens Adaptor
  3. Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens
  4. Some sort of proper lighting. Either an external flash with a ring light adaptor or soft boxes.
Oh my lust for these things.

Anyway, last post on this blog for this year. Happy New Year.

"You really don't need a forensics team to get to the bottom of this. If you guys were the inventors of Facebook, you'd have invented Facebook"

Hello, ladies. How you doooin'?

Quick Update: I went to the gym the other day. Now I know what you're thinking. What is gym? What is it that you speak of? I know, I know. Haha. It's was a weird experience. Oddly satisfying but weird nonetheless. I'm pretty sure I looked like a n00b when I went. And I was so paranoid to get on the treadmill because some people may judge you on how long you spent there. Haha. I burnt 200 plus calories that day and was so proud of myself. I went home and found out that it's only equivalent to a pet bottle of coke, and I swore never to step foot on a gym again.

Oh and HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE. I HOPE YOU'RE HAVING MORE FUN THAN ME. <3

This theme is so hard! Whenever I get asked for movie recommendations, I suddenly forget every movies I've watched. And for some reason, it's been a while since I watched something I thoroughly enjoyed. Not for the lack of trying cos I've been watching a lot of movies online this week. They all fall either in the "hmm not bad", "okay" or "meh" categories. And they're supposedly good movies! Rotten Tomatoes said so and I believe him! But yeah. Is it just me?

The Social Network

Oh my goodness. I don't remember enjoying a movie as much as I've enjoyed this one. I love the dry humour and the raw honesty in it. It is such a good movie and it's so real. It's more than just based on a true story. You'll be conflicted about whether you love or hate Zuckerberg. He has such a, for the lack of better word, cheeky and devil-may-care personality, which he makes so admirable. He finds humour in everything and he's sarcastic to boot. He has a strange mixture shyness, awkwardness and a heavy dose of arrogance and cockiness thrown in there. I loved it when he was brought in by the school council for hacking the school's files and he turned the tables around and claimed that he's actually helped by pointing out gaping holes in the school's security. On the other hand, he's such an asshole. I figured it's more than 80% based on true fact since Zuckerberg would've filed for defamation if a substantial part of the movie is untrue. Goodness knows that it's not actually made to make him look like a god, and it's amazing how even when you hate Zuckerberg and think that he's one cocky prick, you still have respect for him. That's not easy.

What I love most is the irony of how someone who created such a successful social networking site doesn't know shit about relating to people. I think this is one of the most fascinating, engrossing and enjoyably cynical movie out there. I can't safely say it's my favourite movie, but I can however, swear that it's one of the most awesome movies out there.

Here's a quote from the movie:
Mark Zuckerberg: I went to my friend for the money because that's who I wanted to be partners with. Eduardo was the president of the Harvard Investors Association, and he was also my best friend.
Gage: Your best friend is suing you for six hundred million dollars.
Mark Zuckerberg: I didn't know that, tell me more.
Here's another one:
Gage: Mr. Zuckerberg, do I have your full attention?
Mark Zuckerberg: [stares out the window] No.
Gage: Do you think I deserve it?
Mark Zuckerberg: [looks at Gage] What?
Gage: Do you think I deserve your full attention?
Mark Zuckerberg: I had to swear an oath before we began this deposition, and I don't want to perjure myself, so I have a legal obligation to say no.
Gage: Okay - no. You don't think I deserve your attention.
Mark Zuckerberg: I think if your clients want to sit on my shoulders and call themselves tall, they have the right to give it a try - but there's no requirement that I enjoy sitting here listening to people lie. You have part of my attention - you have the minimum amount. The rest of my attention is back at the offices of Facebook, where my colleagues and I are doing things that no one in this room, including and especially your clients, are intellectually or creatively capable of doing.
[pauses]
Mark Zuckerberg: Did I adequately answer your condescending question?
If you did not even crack a smile while reading those... Son, I will be disappoint.

YAY

Hey guys! It's 12am!
that means its...
friday friday gotta get down on friday!

YAY. AWESOME TOPIC! I think alot has changed for me this year, I've been watching a whole lot of movies -- it's heaven.

Let me just say that I haven't really thought of my all time favourite movie yet, so im just gunna list some really awesome moives down and then maybe number it from there. Firstly, im gunna categorise it (btw, if you haven't watched some, do so coz I highly recommend it :D).

Human movies:
Shawshank redemption
Inception
avatar
titanic
real steel
Pirates of the Caribbean,
nick & nora's infinite playlist
slumdog million air
Amelie
Borat
Xmen - first class
The notebook
Crazy stupid love
Sweeny Todd (probably the only horror movie + musical that I'll ever dare to watch again and love LOL)

Animation:
how to train your dragon
up
toy story
finding nemo
Tangled
Rio
Cloudy with a chance of meatballs
My name is totoro
Spirited away (one of my all-time favourites, if any credit, this gets in one of the top few)

Sorry I made you run through that really long list. hahah... I realise that I love all of them and there really is so many to think of! If I were to skim through the movies i've watched, I realise that I'll always have something that I never thought of pop up and shout "remember meeeee... I WAS AWESOME!!!!" so yeah. I really dont have a favourite movie coz awesome ones always pop out. The list up there are either 4 stars/5 or sentimental to me. :)

Pirates of the Caribbean is probably my favourite movie series (coz it was so much fun), and was one of my favourite movies till other movies came in... haha.. so that lasted quite abit. Haven't really had a fixed favourite movie, maybe I should, maybe I shouldn't. However, I do have a favourite Korean drama :D I stopped watching any more after that. It's called Secret Garden and I like it alot. Story, soundtrack, actors are great :D Watch it if you have alot of time or if you can prioritize. D:

Anyway, there are some movies that I really really want to watch (that are already released).
The Twilight Saga is one of them (i dont care how horrible they are I lost track of it totally and it bothers me)
Scott Philgrim (sorry Liza!! It was on this list I swear!)
Sherlock Holmes
Puss in boots
Rango
Shutter Island (yeah............lol)
The curious case of benjamin button
The Lady
The Muppets
Super 8

Aiyah seriously lah. Just alot of movies I wanna watch. hahaha.

Anyway, don't get me started on the actors bit. there isn't alot really. There are some prominent ones I'd name -- ones that all of us know. And those that stand out to me. I never really pay attention to the actors, although I should. I shall make it my new year's resolution then. :)

Ok, I'm done now :D Merry Christmas you guys! HOHOHO! ahahaha... :)

Merry Christmas, happy new year, and to all a goodnight,
G.

PS: If anyone's a fan of Doctor Who, his movie's coming up. :D
PPS: Who thinks it's pointless to initialise our names? coz everybody's mentioning everybody's name on their posts anyway lolol. OH WELL. we can pretend that we'r keeping our names a secret. In which case, readers out there, our names arn't really Liza Trudy Lellel and George.

My own. My love. My precioussssss.

Well well, so it has come down to 'my favourite movie' ey?
Truth be told, i don't think i have a favourite movie, more of a favourite actor/actress but not movie. If i love the story line, then the movie definitely was taken from a book. Then it would make that my favourite book not movie. HAHA

But in order to answer this week's question, i shall combine both favourite actor/actress with an awesome story line to be my favourite movie. I guess the movie would be.... WOAH. This is harder than i thought. There has been SO DARN MANY movies. It's like Hollywood is encountering production diarrhoea. It never stops. HAHAHAHA.

Due to that, i shall choose a movie that is dated the earliest. I'd say 'Gone with the Wind' but i'd really be lying cos im currently obsessed with the storybook not the movie. The actors/actresses in the movie were horrible. HAHAHA

So my choice would be, Mary Poppins. Though the whole series of Lord of The Rings came closely in its heels. It would have taken first place if not for the date. HAHA. I love the people in the movie, the carefree and nonsensical but also touching songs as well as the fantasy adventures. Man, i wish my carousel would bring me on a ride around the country too. In short, the animated singing and occasional dancing with Mary Poppin's miracle just make me wish i was one of her charges. haha
Now, LORD OF THE RINGS. on second thoughts, i think that whole movie series is truly my favourite. But i shan't delete the earlier mention of Mary Poppin cos i love it as dearly as well.
Why won't anyone love LOTR? Action packed, understandably wicked story line withlove story intertwined, magic spell- bounded and flooded with hot guys. WHY WONT ANYONE LOVE THIS AWESOME PACKAGE OF A MOVIE? 'nuff said.

By the by, just to get everyone in the Christmas mood, if you're not already!

Merry Christmas dearests!

Boo. You whore.

Rapelaying = raping the replay button

You guys probably already know that my all time favourite movie is Mean Girls (2004). I can't really say anything else about it. I'm sure you all know why I love it, and I'm sure you all love it as well.

Another movie that I recently promoted to number two on my list is Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Forever awkward Michael Cera, forever kickass Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 8-bit everywhere, video games. What more could Liza want. I plan to own at least two of the graphic novels from the series by the end of next year!

If you guys haven't watched either of those movies, I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WE ARE FRIENDS. Also, you should watch those movies.

Very very overdue

Hey guys! HAHA.

I'm so sorry about the lag! I was so busy. I just finished editing 2 of my videos, so that's 2 down, 2 more to go. Lately, alot of things has been happening, to cut short, I had my shoots, my classmate's shoots and my church shoots. I think I really need a break because I haven't had proper sleep since the 5th Dec. I. need. my. holiday.
I really wanna finish most of my work before Christmas so that I can slack for at least 3 days haha. You know, now that I've done editing, I still have to add in music and do bloody tonnes of paperwork! AHHHH. The music's easy (coz Im not doing it), BUT THE PAPERWORK. MAN.

have I mentioned to you how much I hate paper work?

Anyway, the best thing I never had huh.

I can't really think of the best thing I never had -- I think I am blessed to be where I am.
If I could name something, it'll probably be an older brother. Or any sibling. It gets pretty lonely when you're a single child. You learn how to entertain yourself, which was what I did when everybody was busy around the house. It's not that I don't like being a single child, it's just that it's nice to have another person to share things with. I used to envy kids who had siblings, everybody seemed liked they had them. EVERYBODY. I say that in context of Singapore because in China it's 1 child, however growing up there is not the same as growing up in Singapore.
In China, it is normal to have 1 kid, thus every kid mingles with each other more than Singaporean kids do. Correct me if im wrong, but it's just something I assume it to be.

I'm not a kid anymore, so I don't mind being a single child now -- just contented with what I have. There are probably many many things that I can list of never getting ever, but ultimately it goes down to how you view your circumstances -- positive or negative.

So that's it for me. It's 1:23am now, I need sleep! haha!

Goodnight <3
